SERVICE DESCRIPTION
These terms of use shall be applied to the online service produced and maintained by the Joint Licence Area. The yhteislupa.com online service (hereinafter referred to as “Service”) consists of pages containing information and an online shop. The online shop sells licence subscriptions.
The use of certain parts that relate to the fishing licence Service requires registration. By registering in the Service for fishing licences for the Joint Licence Area, the User affirms that they have read these terms of use and commit to observe them.
RIGHT OF USE TO MATERIAL PUBLISHED IN THE SERVICE
The Service relating to fishing in the Joint Licence Area may only be used for private, non-commercial purposes. The user may not in other ways utilise the Service or parts of it without the express permission of the Joint Licence Area. All the rights of the Service, including copyrights, belong to the Joint Licence Area and/or its partners. The Joint Licence Area’s Service and all its parts are protected by copyright in accordance with the Copyright Act.
RESTRICTION ON THE USE OF THE SERVICE
A User who is younger than 18 years of age or who is legally incompetent does not have the right to order, enter into a contract or perform other legal acts within the Joint Licence Area’s fishing licence Service.
PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
The processing of the personal data of registered users is described below in this document, under the heading Privacy Policy.
DATA SECURITY OF PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS
No bank connection or credit card data will be recorded at any stage on the Joint Licence Area’s server. Instead, the payment transaction and the transfer of information relating to the payment transaction will take place via the relevant bank’s or Luottokunta’s SSL-secured user interface.
PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING THE SERVICE
The Joint Licence Area has the right to improve and alter in any way the contents and structure of the Service, its range of products and data, its software, equipment, delivery contents, service times and other parts of the service. The Joint Licence Area strives to inform the User beforehand, via the Service or in some other way it deems suitable, about any changes or breaks in the Service that are considered substantial for the User. Changes shall come into effect immediately after they have been implemented. The Joint Licence Area is responsible for the data content of the Service.
In principle, the Service is available 24 hours a day. The Joint Licence Area does not guarantee that the Service will function faultlessly or without interruptions in use. The Joint Licence Area is not responsible for any disturbances caused by the overloading of the system. The Joint Licence Area has the right at any time to suspend the Service or part of it for maintenance, equipment installation, overloading of the system or some other necessary reason.
LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES
The Joint Licence Area is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages caused to the User by breaks caused by technical faults, maintenance or installation work, for communications faults or any delays, changes or loss of information that may result from them.
APPLICABLE LAW
Finnish law shall be applied to the use of the Services and the interpretation of the terms of use.
USE OF COOKIES
The Yhteislupa.com online service uses cookies, some of which relate to the functionalities of the online service and others to the gauging and compilation of statistics on the use of the online service. From the browser settings, the User may forbid the reception of cookies or remove the cookies stored in their browser. However, this may cause defects in the functioning of the website.
The publishing system uses a cookie to maintain the session. General statistical data on the use of the online service is collected for the purpose of developing the Service. The following statistical data is collected on the use of the Service: total admittance and viewing numbers, the number of sessions and their average duration, whether the visitor returns to the site or is visiting it for the first time, from which internet address the visitor has come, the most frequently used search words, the terminals used, the browser version and the most common service providers. No personal data, from which an individual visitor might be recognised, is collected about the visitors to the online service. Data that has been statistically collected cannot be combined. The monitoring of use is based on Google Analytics reporting, which use the cookies of Google Universal Analytics (more information) and Google Tag Manager software. Google Tag Manager’s JavaScript code is used to gauge use.
ENTRY INTO FORCE AND CHANGING OF THE TERMS OF USE
These terms of use shall come into effect from the date of their updating (at the bottom of the document) and shall be in force for the present. The Joint Licence Area has the right to change the terms of use by announcing new terms of use on the www.yhteislupa.com Service. The new terms of use shall come into force on the day that they are published in the www-service.
The terms valid on the date of the contract shall be applied to the terms of the contract, and the updating of the above terms of use shall have no impact on the terms made in the online shop before the update.
TERMINATING THE CONTRACT
Each party may at any time terminate the contract. The User shall cancel the contract by requesting that the Joint Licence Area remove their contact information.

PURPOSE OF THE REGISTER
The personal data of the Joint Licence Area’s customers are registered in the Joint Licence Area’s customer data system. The Personal Data Act (523/1999) shall be observed in the processing and disclosing of personal data. The customer has the right to check their data in the register.
The purpose of use of the register data is the management and maintenance of the customer relationship resulting from a transaction of licence products in the Joint Licence Area, as well as the planning and development of activities in the Joint Licence Area. In user studies, the data from the customer register shall only be used in such a way that an individual user cannot be recognised. Personal data can be processed singly or together with other personal data of the Joint Licence Area.
To change or remove personal data, please contact the Joint Licence Area. A notification can be made by telephone at +358(0)400670826, by e-mail at ilkka.paaso@pp.inet.fi, or by letter to the Controller’s address. Checking requests shall always be delivered in writing and signed to the Controller’s address. Checking requests will not be processed by telephone or e-mail, or if unsigned.

A password created by the customer themselves at the time of registration is also compulsory and collected from online customers.
REGISTER PROTECTION
The fishing licence customer register of the Joint Licence Area may only be used by the persons whose job description makes it necessary. Parties responsible for the maintenance and functionality of the software that collects the register data (NTRNZ Media oy & Pulse247 Oy) can access the customer register when necessary. Both these parties have a non-disclosure obligation regarding all customer data.
DISCLOSING OF DATA
The personal data of the Joint Licence Area’s customers are registered in the Joint Licence Area’s customer data system. The Personal Data Act (523/1999) shall be observed in the processing and disclosing of personal data. The customer has the right to check their data in the register. The Joint Licence Area has the right to use and disclose the registered addresses for research concerning fishing, performed by the Natural Resources Institute Finland.
